568-245 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80245, an AS568-245 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 4.359 in (110.72 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.637 in (117.78 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

The material holds up against aggressive oxidizers, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
