568-247 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

The TEV80247 is an AS568-247 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.609 in (117.07 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.887 in (124.13 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. The compound resists steam, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.
