568-259 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

The TEV80259 is an AS568-259 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.234 in (158.34 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.512 in (165.4 mm). This o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. This material stands up to aggressive oxidizers, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
