568-274 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-274 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 9.984 in (253.59 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 10.262 in (260.65 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80274. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for long service life in aggressive chemical duty, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. Expect good resistance to steam, aggressive oxidizers, and nearly all process chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include aggressive-media valves and pumps, chemical processing, and semiconductor equipment.
