AS568-281 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 14.984 in (380.59 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.262 in (387.65 mm). This o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

APG stocks the TEV80281, an AS568-281 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 14.984 in (380.59 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.262 in (387.65 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

It resists aggressive oxidizers, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.

Typical settings include aggressive-media valves and pumps, chemical processing, and semiconductor equipment.
