**FEP ENCAP VITON ORING AS568-282

TEV80282 is an AS568-282 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm) and an outside diameter of 16.233 in (412.32 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

It resists steam, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing.

Common environments for this compound include aggressive-media valves and pumps, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and food and beverage.
