568-338 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80338, an AS568-338 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.1 in (78.74 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.52 in (89.41 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers long service life in aggressive chemical duty, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. It resists aggressive oxidizers, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical processing, and food and beverage.
