Ordered as TEV80341, this is an AS568-341 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.475 in (88.27 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.895 in (98.93 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.
PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. Expect good resistance to steam, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing.
