568-344 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

The TEV80344 is an AS568-344 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.85 in (97.79 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.27 in (108.46 mm). This o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. The compound resists aggressive oxidizers, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.

It sees regular use in aggressive-media valves and pumps, food and beverage, and semiconductor equipment.
