568-359 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80359, an AS568-359 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.725 in (145.42 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.145 in (156.08 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The material holds up against strong acids and solvents, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

It sees regular use in food and beverage, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and semiconductor equipment.
