568-381 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80381, an AS568-381 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 11.975 in (304.17 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.395 in (314.83 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. It resists aggressive oxidizers, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.

It sees regular use in food and beverage, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and semiconductor equipment.
