568-388 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-388 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 18.953 in (481.41 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 19.373 in (492.07 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80388. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The material holds up against aggressive oxidizers, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
