568-417 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-417 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 3.475 in (88.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.025 in (102.24 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80417. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. Expect good resistance to steam, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.
