568-016 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80016 is an AS568-016 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.614 in (15.6 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.754 in (19.15 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

This material stands up to strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

Typical settings include chemical processing, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
