568-017 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80017, an AS568-017 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 0.676 in (17.17 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.816 in (20.73 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. This material stands up to nearly all process chemicals, strong acids and solvents, and aggressive oxidizers. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.
