568-031 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

TEV80031 is an AS568-031 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.739 in (44.17 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.879 in (47.73 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, steam, and strong acids and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service.

Common environments for this compound include pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical processing, and semiconductor equipment.
