The TEV80036 is an AS568-036 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.364 in (60.05 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.504 in (63.6 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists strong acids and solvents, aggressive oxidizers, and steam. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and chemical processing.
