568-039 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80039, an AS568-039 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.739 in (69.57 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.879 in (73.13 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is valued for a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. The compound resists aggressive oxidizers, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
