568-041 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80041 is an AS568-041 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.989 in (75.92 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.129 in (79.48 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists strong acids and solvents, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is valued for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

Typical settings include chemical processing, semiconductor equipment, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
