*568-044 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-044 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 3.739 in (94.97 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.879 in (98.53 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80044. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is known for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. This material stands up to nearly all process chemicals, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
