568-112 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON

TEV80112 is an AS568-112 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.487 in (12.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.693 in (17.6 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. The material holds up against nearly all process chemicals, aggressive oxidizers, and steam. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
