568-115 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80115 is an AS568-115 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.674 in (17.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.88 in (22.35 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. This material stands up to aggressive oxidizers, nearly all process chemicals, and steam. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing.

Common environments for this compound include semiconductor equipment, food and beverage, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
