568-127 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80127, an AS568-127 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 1.424 in (36.17 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.63 in (41.4 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is valued for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. The material holds up against steam, aggressive oxidizers, and nearly all process chemicals. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.

Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, semiconductor equipment, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
