568-132 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80132, an AS568-132 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.737 in (44.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.943 in (49.35 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. The material holds up against nearly all process chemicals, strong acids and solvents, and steam. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
