568-137 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80137, an AS568-137 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.05 in (52.07 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.256 in (57.3 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists strong acids and solvents, aggressive oxidizers, and steam. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for long service life in aggressive chemical duty, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.

Typical settings include aggressive-media valves and pumps, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
