568-139 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-139 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 2.175 in (55.25 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.381 in (60.48 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80139. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

This material stands up to aggressive oxidizers, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.

Common environments for this compound include aggressive-media valves and pumps, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and semiconductor equipment.
