568-145 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-145 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A with an inside diameter of 2.55 in (64.77 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.756 in (70 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80145. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to aggressive oxidizers, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.
