568-149 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80149 is an AS568-149 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.8 in (71.12 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.006 in (76.35 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® delivers excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. This material stands up to aggressive oxidizers, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.

Typical settings include pharmaceutical manufacturing, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and chemical processing.
