568-151 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-151 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 2.987 in (75.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.193 in (81.1 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80151. It provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. Expect good resistance to strong acids and solvents, aggressive oxidizers, and steam. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical processing, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
