568-159 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

TEV80159 is an AS568-159 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.987 in (126.67 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.193 in (131.9 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists aggressive oxidizers, steam, and strong acids and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is valued for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
