568-161 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80161, an AS568-161 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 5.487 in (139.37 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.693 in (144.6 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. It resists aggressive oxidizers, nearly all process chemicals, and steam. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
