568-174 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-174 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A with an inside diameter of 8.737 in (221.92 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.943 in (227.15 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80174. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® offers excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, long service life in aggressive chemical duty. The material holds up against steam, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.

It sees regular use in food and beverage, semiconductor equipment, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
