APG stocks the TEV80177, an AS568-177 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 9.487 in (240.97 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.693 in (246.2 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. Expect good resistance to nearly all process chemicals, aggressive oxidizers, and strong acids and solvents. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and chemical processing.
