568-234 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80234, an AS568-234 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.984 in (75.79 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.262 in (82.85 mm). An o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. This material stands up to strong acids and solvents, aggressive oxidizers, and nearly all process chemicals. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
