568-236 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Ordered as TEV80236, this is an AS568-236 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.234 in (82.14 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.512 in (89.2 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists steam, aggressive oxidizers, and nearly all process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is known for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.

Typical settings include food and beverage, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and chemical processing.
