568-237 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80237 is an AS568-237 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.359 in (85.32 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.637 in (92.38 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. The material holds up against aggressive oxidizers, nearly all process chemicals, and strong acids and solvents. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.
