568-238 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80238 is an AS568-238 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.484 in (88.49 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.762 in (95.55 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified for a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. The compound resists steam, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing.
