568-242 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

TEV80242 is an AS568-242 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.984 in (101.19 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.262 in (108.25 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists aggressive oxidizers, steam, and strong acids and solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® delivers a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
