Part number TEV80249 is an AS568-249 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 4.859 in (123.42 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.137 in (130.48 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists strong acids and solvents, aggressive oxidizers, and nearly all process chemicals. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® delivers a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in food and beverage, semiconductor equipment, and aggressive-media valves and pumps.
