568-252 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80252 is an AS568-252 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.234 in (132.94 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.512 in (140 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

This material stands up to steam, strong acids and solvents, and aggressive oxidizers. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® delivers chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and chemical processing.
