568-254 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-254 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 5.484 in (139.29 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.762 in (146.35 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80254. It delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. The compound resists strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. The material carries a published service range of -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing.
