568-255 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

TEV80255 is an AS568-255 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.609 in (142.47 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.887 in (149.53 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Expect good resistance to aggressive oxidizers, strong acids and solvents, and steam. PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care call for a different compound.
