568-257 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

Part number TEV80257 is an AS568-257 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 5.859 in (148.82 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.137 in (155.88 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is widely chosen for excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. The material holds up against nearly all process chemicals, strong acids and solvents, and aggressive oxidizers. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
