568-264 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

TEV80264 is an AS568-264 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 7.484 in (190.09 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.762 in (197.15 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to aggressive oxidizers, strong acids and solvents, and nearly all process chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is known for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and long service life in aggressive chemical duty. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing are present.

Common environments for this compound include chemical processing, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and food and beverage.
