568-267 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-267 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 8.234 in (209.14 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 8.512 in (216.2 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80267. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. Expect good resistance to strong acids and solvents, aggressive oxidizers, and steam. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.
