568-269 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

The TEV80269 is an AS568-269 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 8.734 in (221.84 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.012 in (228.9 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is known for a non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. This material stands up to strong acids and solvents, nearly all process chemicals, and steam. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.

It sees regular use in pharmaceutical manufacturing, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and food and beverage.
