568-317 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

TEV80317 is an AS568-317 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.912 in (23.16 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.332 in (33.83 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for non-stick sealing surface that resists fouling and chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring. The compound resists aggressive oxidizers, nearly all process chemicals, and steam. Published continuous service range is -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care are present.

Typical settings include food and beverage, semiconductor equipment, and chemical processing.
