568-331 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

TEV80331 is an AS568-331 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.225 in (56.52 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.645 in (67.18 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core, excellent resistance to permeation and contamination. This material stands up to strong acids and solvents, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care will shorten service life.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and food and beverage.
