An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is known for chemical inertness of PTFE with the memory of a rubber o-ring and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, aggressive oxidizers, and steam. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service.
