568-342 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

APG stocks the TEV80342, an AS568-342 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.6 in (91.44 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.02 in (102.11 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for long service life in aggressive chemical duty and seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient elastomer core. It resists nearly all process chemicals, strong acids and solvents, and aggressive oxidizers. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges without care.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, aggressive-media valves and pumps, and chemical processing.
